With just over 500 students, North Smithfield High School provides a highly personalized learning environment. We believe in multidisciplinary and applied learning. In addition to working with our dedicated teachers, NSHS students get to discover new possibilities, skills, and talents by working with mentors and exploring career and life possibilities through internships.

North Smithfield High School is only one of very few high schools in the state to achieve the Rhode Island Department of Education's highest "Commended" rating. We routinely score among the top schools in English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science on state assessment exams as well as on the College Board SAT's. The US News and World Reports annual "Best High Schools in the US" routinely places North Smithfield High School among the top 5 highest ranked public high schools in Rhode Island.

Students will prepare for careers in the Governor’s Workforce Board priority sector of Business Management, Administration & Finance, and entry level careers as an accounting clerk or an entry-level bank employee. This program also serves as a strong foundation for those intending to pursue further post-secondary education. |
