Career and Technical Education at
North Smithfield High School

NSHS Personalized
With just over 500 students, North Smithfield High School provides a highly personalized learning environment. We believe in multidisciplinary and applied learning. In addition to working with our dedicated teachers, NSHS students get to discover new possibilities, skills, and talents by working with mentors and exploring career and life possibilities through internships.

NSHS to Success!
North Smithfield High School is only one of very few high schools in the state to achieve the Rhode Island Department of Education's highest "Commended" rating. We routinely score among the top schools in English Language Arts, Mathematics, and Science on state assessment exams as well as on the College Board SAT's. This year US News and World Reports placed North Smithfield High School as the fourth highest ranked public high school in Rhode Island.
