Rising Sophomores have the opportunity to utilize an online platform to help familiarize themselves with some of the math concepts that they will be taught at the start of the 18-19 school year. Research shows that prior knowledge plays a critical role in laying the groundwork for new learning. Students who wish to participate will be assigned an introductory unit that aligns with the standards that will be taught within the first 6 weeks of school. This online unit module has videos embedded as well as practice quizzes.
If you would like your child to participate in and have home access to this online platform, please register your child on or before July 1st. Once you have registered, students will receive a user name/password and directions on how to access and navigate the online platform.
All students that complete the summer work will receive extra credit upon entering sophomore year with a 100% quiz grade. The unit of study needs to be complete by August 25, 2018.
